Health Advocate’s value centers around it’s team of Personal Health Advocates and is supported by medical and benefits experts. It provides clinical and administrative support to help members resolve healthcare and benefits-related issues and provides information and support to improve their healthcare experience. Coverage extends to the member, their spouse, dependent children, their parents and parents-in-law.
Members calling our toll-free number are assigned their own Personal Health Advocate (PHA), typically a registered nurse, who is supported by a team of medical directors and benefits specialists. Health Advocate keeps all calls strictly confidential in compliance with the privacy provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), freeing plan sponsors of the financial and legal liability.
